We're learning more about the air fry functions all the time and it's going to be so very much easier to clean (in the future) compared to other traditional ovens we've always had. The top burners heat amazingly quickly and it will help reduce cooking times. We're very pleased with our purchase.

I love my new range! The easy cleaning top and how fast the burners react is wonderful. I tried out the air fryer feature the other day, and although it takes a bit longer than my countertop unit, I was able to do 4 times as much food ay a time. So it was faster in the long run.

Be Aware of These Design Issues

Attached is a photo of the power cord problem that we've encountered with our new Fridgidaire FCRE3083AS electric range. After discovering this power cord design issue upon delivery, we returned to Home Depot only to find that ALL of Frigidaire's electric ranges have the same rear cord design. We owned two Fridgidaire ranges prior to buying this latest one, and the recessed cord design of those older Frigidaire units easily accommodated our kitchen's electrical outlet box. Because we had owned two Frigidaire units previously and NONE of the stores where ranges are sold display them so that the buyer can see the back of the unit, we had no idea that we would possibly encounter such a problem.Ultimately, because we wanted the new range to match our other Frigidaire appliances, we brought in an electrician, at a cost of an additional $250, to move the electrical outlet as to allow the range to get anywhere close to the wall with its protruding cord and cover. Frigidaire's design team might also want to seriously consider moving the burner dials back up to the top of the range, like our older Frigidaire ranges had. These latest cooktop dials, as they are designed now, are at a dangerously low level where children and dogs can reach them. The size of the oven seems smaller and the oven racks are spaced poorly for access to items that baking or broiling. .All in all we are not really pleased with this new Frigidaire electric range but competitors are also selling ranges with their own design and quality issues, so, as consumers, we're stuck with limited choices.

Overall the range is good. We had an old coil burner range before this and I like the glass top a lot. We did the recommended 350 degrees for 30 minutes before cooking anything but after over a week, we are still smelling the same smell occasionally that we did on that initial start up. It was especially strong when I turned it up to 500 degrees to cook sourdough bread. I also found that the fan was so loud when I turned it up to 500 that I thought something may be wrong.I like the way the range cooks. The burners heat up quickly. The oven heats up to temps up to 400 quickly but above that seems to take longer than our old stove. I like the air fry option. It is more convenient for me than using a counter top air fryer. I am hopeful that the smell will go away with a little more use but I am a little concerned about the noise when setting the oven to 500 degrees to bake bread which is something I do often.

Just got it delivered and have not used it yet. Delivery process was super easy. Even though we measured, the oven was slightly too deep for the space. The power cord prevents it from going flush against the wall like our last oven did.Love the stainless steel finish.

We recently installed solar and made the switch from a gas stove to an electric. Considered an induction stove, but the steep cost was hard to justify after investing so much in our solar install. So far (2 weeks in) we are very happy with this stove. Heats up quite efficiently and evenly, oven gets up to temp accurately. I can't believe I'm saying this, but I'll never go back to gas. We feel better about our indoor air quality and cleaning the cooktop is a breeze (we just use baking soda and water).
