Awesome features, large capacity and QUIET

Tired of the insanity 7/8/2022

WOW! This washer is a little larger than our last one, but it has so many new features that really make it great. It is much more balanced than my last washer (doesn't shake the whole end of the house), its quiet, the slow start on the motor vs. the old jolting and fast start really make a difference too. Other great things would be the venting cycle, although sometimes it just runs forever, so I don't know exactly what situation that is causing that yet. I also love the large tank for detergent. I fill it once and don't have to think about it for every load. There are 2 negatives, but both minor. First, the shippers unboxed everything and tossed the "trash", but I had to retrieve things like the energy star paper for my electric company rebate....and somehow one of the parts that you need to revers the door didn't end up with me either. Again, minor things and related to the delivery itself, not the product. The second thing is that the WiFi setup on this is overly complicated in my opinion....and the Smart HQ app doesn't tap its full potential now. The app is great for seeing a status, but I can't DO anything with it. I'd LOVE to load clothes in it in the am, but wash them later from the app. Why can't I turn the machine on, change the setting, and hit start? Instead, I can only see that the machine is on or off, what cycle it's set too, etc. How about giving me an app that looks JUST LIKE the controls on the machine and let me operate the washer via those controls over WiFi? THAT would be a useful app. Overall though, I would def recommend this washer to anyone looking for a new one. It's been 1 month and it's great so far.

Have had it for about 9 months- all going well - clothing is clean and dmell fresh. Very quiet. Door is solid unlike the dryer. Only complaint is the at dog hair gets stuck in the rubber collar around drum and i have to manually pull it out.

Overall the washing machine has been quite amazing. No water is being left behind for a front loader. The Ultravent system and Microban seems to be the fix for front load residential washers. The washing machine barely makes any sounds. The smart app is great. I wish I could add more users though - this might be possible and just user error on my part - nonetheless it helps to keep me on top of not leaving clothes wet in the machine. It's just exactly everything a person needs. It's efficient. Smart. Organized. Looks great. Feels like it's built great. It will pay for itself.

Had a Maytag previously and decided on GE. Washer is great but not fond of the venting cycle when done. Accustomed to opening the door and soap dispenser as mold will grow. Allegedly this machine is different. I do note that even when vented I still open the door and of course the light stays on for a period. Also upon pulling the soap dispenser after venting - residual water remains. Overall nice machine. As in the dryer match I had to order and out of stock pedestal and still waiting.

We bought this washer and dryer 2021, and in 9mths, it stopped working. I gave a 3 star because, if made in the USA, why do we have to wait 3mths to get a part to repair? Working with kids it's a nightmare going to the laundry mat. I would rather have it replaced than wait 3mths for it to get repaired.

This washer has met my expectations. Plenty of cycles. I love the fact that I can adjust the cycles to meet my needs and that whatever the last cycle settings are there the next time I use the washer. Love that it works with the SmartHQ app and the Ultrafresh Vent. Still learning how to use features, but thoroughly satisfied so far, even though my daughter says she misses the "kids wear" cycle that was on my previous (not a GE) washer.

With the ultra fresh feature there are no longer that smelly order from owning a front load washer. Both the 850 and 650 series has smart dispense so there is no more guessing the amount of detergent to use for each load. These front loads should be the only washer you want because it prevents order and mildew specially where there is standing water.
